Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American singer-dancer and actress. As a young actress, she appeared in Broadway role, she was her role in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. Ashford will be next as a co-star with Kumail Nanjiani in Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive Welcome to Chippendales. It premieres on the 22nd of November. Ashford currently works in Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust opposite Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch-Bachrach. In the form of a Hulu Original, the film will be a part of Disney DTC's platforms. Ashford will return to Broadway in March 2023, in which he'll be starring alongside Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production takes place at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. This production will be directed by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team who created Hamilton. Ashford has been seen most recently as Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. The show centers around the National Crisis that saw Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp as the central figure in the nation's first impeachment proceedings during the Over an Century. Ashford starred for two seasons in CBS popular comedy B Positive. She also appeared in the hit series created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre, that starred famous actors Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Not a stranger to Broadway Ashford has been awarded both the Tony Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Awards with her role as Essie. Sunday in the Park with George Wicked legally blonde and the original role of Lauren In Kinky Boots were among her other Broadway roles. Ashford, who was brought up in Denver and now lives between Los Angeles and New York.
